At Pennine Way Primary School, we use the 1decision PSHE curriculum to help children develop the knowledge, understanding and confidence they need to make positive choices both in school and in everyday life. Through engaging lessons, discussions and real-life scenarios, pupils learn about friendships, relationships, health and wellbeing, staying safe online, and how to manage different situations they may encounter as they grow up.

Our PSHE curriculum encourages children to be respectful, responsible and resilient. We want our pupils to understand the importance of making good decisions, looking after their physical and mental health, and showing kindness and respect towards others. By giving children opportunities to talk, reflect and learn from different experiences, we help them develop the skills they need to become confident, caring and responsible members of their community.
